Regan is loved and loves in return, though her friendships at school have recently become complicated.

When she is suddenly pulled through a doorway that demands she Be Sure before it consumes her, Regan must adapt to a world inhabited by centaurs, kelpies, and other magical equine creatures a world that expects its human visitors to rise as heroes.

Yet, as Regan grows comfortable with the herd, she learns that not all heroism looks the same, and not every quest is exactly what it appears to be.
