Deadly Little Lessons

At Luminary, making the grade isn't enough - students must prove they have the courage, determination, and resilience to endure whatever the school throws at them.

Picking locks and hacking computer systems come naturally to Lia Michaels, but those talents have also helped land her in a cycle of foster homes and juvie. When an acceptance letter arrives from Luminary Prep, an unconventional experimental school, Lia sees an unexpected chance to start over.

With cutting-edge technology, gourmet cafeteria food, and a breathtaking campus, Luminary seems almost too good to be true. There's just one catch: only five students will earn the right to graduate.

Then the classes turn downright deadly. Physics includes a lethal obstacle course, Chemistry involves explosives, and Political Science comes equipped with guillotines. As students disappear one by one, Lia begins to suspect that graduation isn't the real challenge - survival is.
