The Long Way Around

In this wilderness adventure, three cousins are separated from their parents by a massive earthquake and must find their way home across dangerous mountain terrain with only each other to rely on.

While camping alone during a family trip in California, Owen, Vivian, and Amy are cut off when the quake blocks their path back. Forced to take a longer, riskier route, they face wild animals, rushing rivers, harsh weather, and steep passes. Along the way, they also confront personal struggles - Vivian's fear of change, Owen's lingering trauma, and Amy's tendency to escape into stories. With courage and humor, they push forward to bring each other safely home.
