The Demon Sword Asperides

For two hundred years, the demon sword Asperides has lived quietly, his body guarding an evil sorcerer while his consciousness takes a break from the exhausting task of tricking humans into wielding him at the cost of their souls.

Nack Furnival has spent his life training to be a noble knight, but he isn't very good at it. Determined to prove himself, he sets out on a quest and needs a sword to succeed.

When a failed attempt to revive the sorcerer brings Asperides into Nack's path, the sword tricks him into becoming its new owner. With the now-undead and furious sorcerer in pursuit, the unlikely pair are pulled into an adventure far bigger than expected - saving the world.
