The Winter of the Dollhouse

One gloomy November evening, eleven-year-old Tiphany Stokes comes to the rescue of an elderly woman who collapses in the street. Watching from a nearby shop window is Gretel, an antique doll who dreams of escaping her glass prison. None of them knows it yet, but their lives are about to become wonderfully tangled.

As Gretel gets her chance at freedom, the mysterious old woman (who might just be a witch!) uncovers a secret hidden in her forgotten dollhouse. Meanwhile, Tiph, whose parents proudly say she's "never any trouble," finds herself becoming a thief, a dog walker, an actor, and, most importantly, a friend.
