Splinter & Ash

On the eve of her twelfth birthday, Princess Adelisa - better known as Ash - dreams of escaping palace life. Her kingdom is still recovering from war, her mother struggles to keep it together, her brother makes her miserable, and her birthday masquerade ends in humiliation when the nobles openly mock her. Everything changes when she meets Splinter, a fearless and determined girl who longs to become a knight, even though only noble boys are allowed to serve as squires.

Ash decides to make history by naming Splinter her first-ever squire, and together they face prejudice, gossip, and disapproving families.
