Ashes at the Altar

Malik Baron has learned plenty since arriving at Caiman University: history holds power, family goes beyond blood, the past is never truly gone, and magic always comes with a price. But nothing has prepared him for a semester that could change everything.

Despite Malik's efforts to trap the evil spirit Marinette, her power continues to grow, the Bokors remain a threat, and tensions within the magical community are reaching a breaking point. As Malik begins connecting with his father's family, the Bonclairs' power is challenged, forcing him to decide where his loyalties truly lie.

With Caiman's future, his family, and the magic in his veins all at risk, Malik must draw on the strength of his ancestors and the people he loves to fight for the future he's worked so hard to build.
