Rook

"Rook" follows the story of Abigail Rook, a young woman who flees her home in England in search of adventure and ends up in the fictional New England town of New Fiddleham in 1892. Desperate for work, Abigail encounters R.F. Jackaby, an eccentric detective with the ability to see supernatural beings. Despite Jackaby's peculiarities, Abigail becomes his assistant and becomes entangled in the investigation of a series of mysterious murders plaguing the town. As Abigail and Jackaby delve deeper into the case, they uncover a world of mythical creatures, including banshees, shape-shifters, and ghosts. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including the enigmatic detective Charlie Cane and the mysterious and alluring Jenny Cavanaugh. As they race against time to solve the murders, Abigail and Jackaby forge an unlikely partnership and confront dangerous adversaries.
